Summary
Loads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.

Summary
Loads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Load Docks, Delivery Vehicles, and Shipping Containers by Hand or Power Trucks.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or manufacturing areas.
- Process, sort and stage cargo before loading to prevent damage from Inventory.
- Understand the Daily Operations of the shipping department.
- Certified Overhead Crane Operations 50,000 lb. capacity
- Certified Forklift Operation up to 30,000 lb. capacity
- Opens containers.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Moves raw material through the plant to its dedicated work area as requested.
- Secures lifting attachments to materials and transports load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Ability to operate the Banding Machine.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
- Rig or dismantle props and equipment (platforms/wheels)
- Lifts heavy objects (up to 30lbs) by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area
- Understands the rigging of material for shipment
- Responsible for general yard duties.
- General computer skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Ability to read and understand all job specifications
- Forklift Experience
