Dover-Eyota is a progressive, financially stable public school district located 12 miles east of Rochester, Minnesota. - Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, leadership, and positive leadership
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents/guardians, and staff
- Attend annual training dates (June 1 & 2, 2026), complete CPR training, and fulfill other MN DYCF training requirements.
- Complete district background checks and MN Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) NetStudy background check.
Role Overview
- Support a safe, positive, engaging, and inclusive childcare environment
- Build positive relationships with children and serve as a role model
- Lead and participate in games, activities, and group supervision
- Maintain clean and organized program spaces
- Exhibits a positive attitude and energy
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and families
- Comply with the MN DYCF-certified centers' requirements
- Ability to actively supervise and engage groups of children in a dynamic environment
- Ability to think critically, make decisions, and respond appropriately to children's behaviors and safety needs
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff
- Ability to remain active throughout the workday, including standing, walking, and participating in activities
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations with flexibility and a positive attitude
- Supervise and actively engage children during activities, outdoor time, and transitions.
- Support positive behavior and reinforce program expectations
- Lead daily routines and programming
- Ensure child safety at all times
- Support communications between staff and families as needed
- Summer 2026: 1 position open with varied hours (range from 20-35)
- School Year 2026-27: AM and PM Subs are needed
- Rate of pay: $16 per hour (with the possibility of an increase with the availability of a state grant).
- Hours: Monday-Friday; shifts scheduled between 6:30 am and 6 pm.
