We are expanding and opening a new office. We are looking for a full time or part time entry level or experienced optometric technician to work in our new facility. We are happy to train a fellow health care professional looking for a change.
The Optometric Technician/Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting multiple optometrists by assisting with patient care and performing essential diagnostic tests. This position involves direct patient interaction, ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate data management while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. The ideal candidate is kind and empathic and cares about people. Working in a team and sharing ideas, open to change and being a reliable, positive team member is important in the role. The new office is open 8-4 M-F.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients during exams and procedures
- Conduct pre-screening vision tests using specialized equipment
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain diagnostic instruments
- Enter and manage patient data accurately in electronic systems
- Perform vision testing utilizing tonometers, retinal cameras, phoropters, and autorefractors
- Educate patients on eye care and procedural processes
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean clinical environment
- Support optometrists with clinical and administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in optometric support roles
Salary : $17 - $22
