Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Emergency Medical Technician EMT, you’ll be a crucial member of the emergency team, delivering skilled, timely care when every second counts. You’ll use your expertise and quick decision-making to gather critical details, perform treatments safely, and maintain a safe, dignified environment for every patient. Your collaboration with ED personnel will keep care moving smoothly and directly impact patient outcomes.
As an EMT you will perform delegated patient care tasks and clerical duties.
What will you do in this role:
Transporting patients
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment
Performing some aspects of patient care
Providing patient registration support
Ordering and stocking supplies
Entering orders in the Expanse system
Performing EKG's, splinting and phlebotomy
Promotes internal and external customer satisfaction
Build and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement
Daily operations of POCT. This includes but not limited to decision making, response to problems, error identification and corrective action
Perform quality control and maintenance on laboratory analyzers and POCT
Perform laboratory testing and POCT applicable to the FSED
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- (EMT) Emergency Medical Technician
- Active National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification at the Basic internmediate level (NREMT) required
- (EMT-State) New Hampshire State Emergency Medical Technician license required
- High School Graduate / GED required
