What we are looking for:
The Team Lead provides leadership and technical direction to a team of hourly production associates, ensuring that team members are working safely and productively, and meeting defined production and quality metrics. Team Leads lead by example, act proactively to ensure smooth team operations, and ensure effective collaboration within the team.
Essential Competencies:
Provide leadership andassistin job set-up.
Direct daily activities in the work area to ensure daily production goals are met.
Training and coaching of associates to include manufacturing practices, quality practices, and safety procedures.
Identifyparts and part descriptions using work order information.
Identifyproper hand tools to be used in formingcrates.
Communication of job status between shifts and continuation of work in progress.
Coordinate with supervisor for associate vacation requests.
Hold safety meetings monthly.
Performappropriate preventivemaintenance on equipment and tooling.
Maintain a clean, safe, and order work area.
Understandprocedurefor ordering metal, location of parts, and contacts for order notification.
Sets the example for proper use of all safety equipment and apparel.
Have a working understanding of all basic safety procedures.
Understand emergency evacuation procedures.
Understanding ofall attendance and human resource policies.
Other duties as assigned.
MinimumQuantifiable Competencies:
HS Diploma/GED
4 years of relevant experience
Strong communicationand organizational skills. Preferred Competencies:
Previoussupervisory experience preferred.
