Veterinary Cardiologist (DACVIM-Cardiology)

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist (DACVIM-Cardiology board-certified or board-eligible) to expand our Cardiology service.

The role

As a Cardiologist at DoveLewis, you will provide medical cardiology care and perform cardiology procedures for a high caseload, including:

• Consulting with other specialists on complex cases
• Seeing specialty appointments and building relationships with clients
• Collaborating with dedicated Outreach Coordinators and the referring veterinary community to grow caseload
• Consulting and taking transfers from our ER and ICU
• Working alongside a collegial team of specialists respected throughout the region
  
  

What You’ll Have To Practice Top-quality Medicine

• Teaching hospital with AAHA-accredited specialty services
• Advanced equipment and diagnostics, including GE Vivid E9, EchoPAC software, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, 3 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT, ventilator support, endoscopy/otoscopy, on-site blood bank, hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and more
• Collaboration with 13 board-certified specialists (Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiology)
• 24/7 on-call surgery availability 7-day Criticalist coverage
• Strong support team (200 teammates) including VTS, client service, liaisons, financial coordinators, DVM coordinators, and more

Requirements

• DVM (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited school or ECFVG certification
• Ability to be licensed in Oregon
• DACVIM (Cardiology) board-certified or board-eligible
• Passion for a client-centered practice and collaborative medicine
• Equivalent combinations of experience/training may be considered
