Roles and Responsibilities of a Quick Serv Restaurant Team Member
- Friendly team players who work quickly and enjoys teamwork.
- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items; likes our food and can give recommendations to customers as needed.
- Upsells add-ons, including, drinks and desserts to every single guest every time.
- Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes change.
- Documents all voids with a receipt, explanation of void and signature, include with daily paperwork.
- Refunding an item or order must have manager approval every time, no exception.
- Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
- Takes food temperatures when assigned.
- Follows prep build to list to ensure sufficient product is ready for customers.
- Checks products and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
- Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
- Follows call-in app and/or drive-thru procedures carefully to ensure order accuracy.
- Promotes app usage, if applicable, and knows benefits of same.
- Wash hands and puts on gloves immediately upon entering the line area every time.
- Wash hands and change gloves after handling money, touching hair, nose, face or any other item other than ready to eat food being served on the line.
- Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image.
- Cleans restrooms at designated times and throughout the shift.
- Cleans dining room tables, chairs and booths after every rush and before clocking out.
- Wash, rinse, dry and put away dishes.
- Sweeps and mops floors in restaurant as needed or directed.
- Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards
- Team Member should always be occupied with primary job, serving our guests and secondary, when not serving our guests, cleaning and food prep. There should be no down time during schedule work hours.
