JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Douglas County Highway Department is seeking
Seasonal Laborers for the season. This position will perform general
highway maintenance and assigned laborer tasks involving the use of hand
tools and operation of motorized equipment, including but not limited to
traffic flagging, mowing with light-duty tractors, pothole patching, and
general labor. 2026 starting rate \$18.00/hr. \*Returning Seasonal
Laborers receive additional \$1.00 to base wage until 3rd consecutive
season. Seasonal Laborers have opportunities for flexible scheduling,
working approximately 20-40 hours per week! Opportunities may exist for
seasonal work from mid Spring to late Fall (October 31). This position
typically works four days a week, ten hours a day. This position
occasionally requires overtime work when requested. No benefits are
offered with seasonal positions. Testing requirements: Structured
interview; Applicants must pass a physical exam and pre-employment drug
