JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assists in the protection of the population, land, and
waterways of Douglas County through the enforcement of the Douglas
County Planning and Zoning Ordinances and Comprehensive Plan. Upholds
licensed credential holders to state mandated requirements as it relates
to Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS). Protects
property assets and health of residents by upholding POWTS standards
throughout the County. Inspect sites and resolve complaints. Douglas

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor\'s Degree in planning,
geography, soil science, or related field 1-year related experience A
combination of training, education, and experience that provides the
desired knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Knowledge of
local, state, and federal laws, rules, ordinances, and practices
pertaining to soil and water conservation. Ability to acquire and
maintain State certification as a certified soil tester and a POWTS
Inspector through Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional
Services (DSPS) within 6 months of date of hire. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Possess a valid State of Wisconsin
driver\'s license, or ability to transfer a valid license. \*\*\*\*\*
