Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through chairside assisting techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform X-rays and other diagnostic imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care across various specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential.
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques and medical imaging is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 26 – 32 per week
