What You’ll Own:
Finance & Accounting
- Manage all accounting functions: payroll, billing, A/P, A/R, GL, and month-end close
- Run financial reports, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow projections
- Administer and maintain Deltek Ajera accounting software for project accounting and timesheets
- Work with external accountants on tax prep and filings
- Help project managers track budgets, overruns, and additional services
- Oversee onboarding, terminations, payroll processing, and compliance
- Administer benefits (health insurance, 401(k), PTO)
- Support recruiting, reviews, and staff communications
- Act as the HR conscience of the firm—helping leadership stay compliant and people-first
- Coordinate vendors, office supplies, repairs, and lease renewals
- Serve as the primary contact for IT consultants and property management
- Maintain business insurance, software licenses, and other critical admin functions
- Review and manage contracts, subconsultant agreements, and certificates
- Proof proposals, marketing materials, and social media content
- Track licensure and continuing education renewals for firm principals
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 10 years of experience in a similar role—preferably in a small A/E/C or professional services firm
- Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, and office management
- Strong grasp of HR practices, accounting workflows, and operational processes
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication
- Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities without direct support staff
- Software fluency: Office 365, Bluebeam, Ajera (or similar accounting platform), and QuickBooks
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
