At Douglas J, we're looking for an Institute Maintenance Tech who enjoys ensuring our locations are always in top shape, ready to welcome guests and inspire students. You'll be a key part of our team, ensuring our Salon & Institute locations are always clean, neat, and ready for the day's activities.
What You'll Do:
- Light plumbing and electrical work
- Painting and drywall tasks
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the locations, ensuring it's always guest-ready, with assistance from a 3rd party cleaning service
- Prep the building for morning opening, setting the stage for a day of learning and guest services
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and tracking, ensuring we're always on top of service requests and preventative maintenance
- Purchase necessary materials and keep track of inventory, ensuring we're always well-stocked
- Inspect the buildings and grounds daily, ensuring everything is in order
- Assist in the setup and take down of events and promotions, ensuring smooth operations
What We're Looking For:
- You have prior maintenance experience and a knack for fixing things
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You pay attention to detail and have good math skills
- You are proactive, punctual, self-motivated, and can multitask
- You have basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Excel
- You have and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- You are willing to work a typical Monday-Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm schedule
- You maintain a polished, professional image
