The Senior Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll department and their overall functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. In addition, you will be engaged in modernizing the payroll process by using technology to create efficiencies.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Interviews, hires, and training of new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of HR Requirements for Non-Union Buildings
  • Track benefits for Non-Union Buildings
  • Respond and Track Local 32BJ Audit inquires
  • Track Workman Compensation
  • Audit NYC Unions, 32BJ, Union 272 and other NYC Unions
  • Familiarity with the rules regarding prevailing wages
  • Maintaining a database for salaries & Bonuses

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with ADP RFN and RFM payroll software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Five to Ten years of related experience required.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
