Description

The City of Springfield is seeking an Education Outreach Specialist to develop and deliver engaging environmental or transportation-related education programs for the community. This role plans and implements public outreach initiatives, creates educational materials, and represents the City at events, meetings, and facility tours. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and passionate about sustainability, infrastructure, and community engagement.

Qualifications And Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Education, Natural & Applied Sciences, Graphic Design, Planning, or related field.
  • Two years’ experience in developing or providing vacancy related educational programming to community, schools or similar audiences is preferable.
  • Directly related experience may be substituted for the formal education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
