Job Description
Evaluates, maintains, repairs, analyzes, renovates, relocates and installs refrigeration, food equipment and minor plumbing at District food service sites in compliance with federal, state, District, and department regulations. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Essential Physical Requirements:
Analyze, install, and repair motors, bearings, controls, and circuits on all food preparation equipment, including but not limited to ovens, steamers, warmers, dishwashers, hot holding tables
Analyze, install, and repair water supply lines, waste line valves, washers, backflow preventers and line strainers on plumbing related items. Correct and install natural and LP gas lines.
Analyze, install and repair burners, pilots/safeties, gas valves, controls and circuits on gas fired appliances.
Analyze, install and repair heating elements, relays, switches, timers, valves, controls, circuits, bearings, and pump seals on commercial ware washing equipment
Analyze, install and repair motors, compressors, controls, circuits and mechanical refrigeration systems.
Assist with removal and relocation of large appliances
Complete paperwork, including invoices describing work done and refrigerant management forms.
Perform general preventive maintenance procedures on all food service related equipment.

- Respond to emergencies as required.
