Job Description
Provides direction and oversight of talent management efforts for the development and management of talent pipelines, acquisition, retention, recognition, on-boarding and off-boarding to ensure a talented and effective workforce. Promotes the development of districtwide, data-driven talent management programs that set priorities for improvements aligned with the district’s strategic initiatives. Conducts full life cycle recruitment in sourcing the best talent, as well as maintaining effective programs for retention and succession planning.
Develops and implements strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention based on an analysis of survey data (climate and exit) and staff interviews.
Develops, implements, and manages wellness programs to improve the health and well-being of employees. Tracks and reports on the effectiveness of wellness programs, using metrics such as participation rates, satisfaction scores, and health outcomes. Develops and promotes good community relations between various district and community clientele.
Requires travel around district and state using personal vehicle. Some out-of-state travel will be required to attend university career fairs.

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Build relationships with Educator Preparation Programs to place student teachers, Interns, and practicum students. Expand the District’s presence throughout the region via partnerships with colleges and universities.
Coordinate multi-media marketing strategies for recruitment, including job postings on external jobsites and creating and fostering university partnerships.
Develop and conduct training for hiring managers and supervisors in a variety of areas, including staff retention and culturally responsive hiring practices.
Collaborate with school leadership and stakeholders to identify hiring priorities and meet current and future staffing needs. Determine staffing needs by collecting and analyzing demographic, local, state, and national market data.
Design, in collaboration with internal and external partners, multi-media marketing strategies to enhance District branding and employee recruitment.
Develop and implement creative, innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates. Develop recruitment programs, brochures, videos, displays and other related material to promote DCSD to interested parties.
Prepare data reports to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives.
Assist with the development and implementation of innovative and competitive strategies and activities for recruiting, acquiring, and on-boarding a high performing, diverse workforce, including branding, marketing, networking, social media, internal career fair programs, and the recruitment, and leadership of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Assist in leading the development of the annual New Teacher Orientation. Effectively introduce new educators to all aspects of DCSD, including but not limited to its mission, strategic goals, vision, initiatives, philosophies, leadership team, and employment incentives and opportunities. Confirm all human resources and legal requirements are included in the orientation agenda. Provide a welcoming, inclusive, and informative orientation focused on building the capacity and enthusiasm of new teachers to prepare them to promote high achievement among students.
Stay current on the latest research and trends in workplace wellness.
Establish metrics to measure success and growth needs of the District’s engagement program.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and recognition efforts.

There is also a voluntary 403(b) savings plan with up to 4% District match for up to 5 years from date of hire.
