Douglas County is accepting applications for a full-time Custodian I within the Building & Grounds Maintenance Department. The primary responsibility for this position is general cleaning and sanitizing procedures in the Douglas County Correctional Facility. This includes, but is not limited to, general/basic surface cleaning and sanitizing procedures, building trash collection and removal, maintaining clean floors, and monitoring cleaning and related supplies.
The preferred applicant will be reliable, flexible, and possess the ability to work independently. Knowledge and experience of general custodial work and cleaning is required. This position must also possess the skills to occasionally work with members of the public in a professional manner and have a strong eye for detail. Passing an extensive background check and possessing a valid driver's license is required.
