Seasonal Fair & Rodeo Assistant

The Seasonal Fair & Rodeo Assistant is responsible for assisting in the operational preparation and execution of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. This position is a fast paced and interactive opportunity that will contribute to nearly everything that goes on behind the scenes during and leading up to the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo and the corresponding PRCA Rodeo performances. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following examples are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.)

• Work closely with all levels of Fair & Rodeo leadership to assist in the operational execution of the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo. 
• Assist with the planning and execution of social media management, graphic design work, and sponsor relations.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support for the annual Fair & Rodeo.
• Assist with daily preparation of materials (i.e., show programs, awards, premius, etc.)
• Assist with coordination of Special Events and VIP experiences. 
• Work on special projects as assigned by Fair & Rodeo Staff.
• Attend, participate and provide support for all Board and Committee meetings.
• Maintain venue quality, consisting of maintaining the look of the facility and working with internal departments to create smooth and successful events. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:  This position works under the direct supervision of the manager, with guidance and feedback provided regularly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:    

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Experience with social media platforms and graphic design software.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: 

• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon internship inquiry, with complying insurance. 
• This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.
