The Seasonal Fair & Rodeo Assistant is responsible for assisting in the operational preparation and execution of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. This position is a fast paced and interactive opportunity that will contribute to nearly everything that goes on behind the scenes during and leading up to the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo and the corresponding PRCA Rodeo performances. - Work closely with all levels of Fair & Rodeo leadership to assist in the operational execution of the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo.
- Assist with the planning and execution of social media management, graphic design work, and sponsor relations.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support for the annual Fair & Rodeo.
- Assist with daily preparation of materials (i.e., show programs, awards, premius, etc.)
- Assist with coordination of Special Events and VIP experiences.
- Work on special projects as assigned by Fair & Rodeo Staff.
- Attend, participate and provide support for all Board and Committee meetings.
- Maintain venue quality, consisting of maintaining the look of the facility and working with internal departments to create smooth and successful events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and organizational skills required.
- Experience with social media platforms and graphic design software.
- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon internship inquiry, with complying insurance.
- This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.
