Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials across the site.
- Use construction equipment like concrete mixers and farm machinery to support various project phases.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow detailed instructions from site supervisors to complete excavation, loading, hauling, and site preparation activities efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes on active construction sites.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Hands-on experience working with concrete mixers, farm machinery, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Prior involvement in projects requiring construction site coordination and teamwork.
