Dougherty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions and resolving issues
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies
Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
Shifts:
- Most shifts will be in our Hamilton and Morrisville locations.
- Typically 8-10 hours days.
- Eventually we may request coverage at most every other or every third Saturday.
