POSITION: School Food Service Worker
LOCATION: Various Locations in the Dougherty County School System
JOB SUMMARY:
The School Food Service Worker is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of food in a school cafeteria. This position ensures that all meals meet nutritional guidelines and are served in a timely and sanitary manner. The worker also assists with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and cafeteria facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous experience in food service, particularly in a school setting, is preferred but not required;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks;
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds;
- Ability to withstand exposure to heat, steam, and noise;
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must complete the O.N.E. Course within the first year of employment;
- Maintains an acceptable level of personal hygiene;
- Attends in-service training as provided by the CNS Department;
- Follows recipes and instructions accurately;

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide
