Responsibilities
- Work directly with QA Supervisor and Operations facility management team to review requirements and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures.
- Help provide cross-functional interaction with departments to ensure all processes are monitored and reviewed.
- Abilities to troubleshoot and analyze unpredicted things that may come up.
- Participate in daily and weekly physical bakery inspections.
- Report food safety issues so that they may be addressed right away.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and perform routine to complex tasks.
- Perform bi-annual mock recalls.
- Knowledge of pest control.
- Leadership skills and ability to communicate and execute non-conformities effectively.
- Ability to address a non-conformity.
- Verification activities including, but not limited to, calibration of instruments, titration, and monitoring records.
- Experience in sanitation monitoring activities.
- Hygiena SureTrend swabbing experience is a plus.
- Documentation focused, the ability to comprehend and support documentation errors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food science, quality assurance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a quality assurance or food production role, preferably in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance principles.Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document and analyze data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
