Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and refrigerant recharges to optimize system performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and ammonia refrigeration setups where applicable.
- Weld or fabricate components as needed for system repairs or modifications using appropriate techniques.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during all installation and repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration processes.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience with appliance repair, boiler systems, welding techniques, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or
driver certification preferred. - Strong field service skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of electrical components associated with HVAC systems including wiring diagrams and electrical troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
