What You’ll Do:
- Load orders for customers picking up at the store.
- Stock materials from incoming deliveries and transfers.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
- Ride along and assist drivers with deliveries when needed.
- Let your supervisor know right away about any safety concerns or damaged equipment.
- Report missing, damaged, or incorrect inventory.
- Inspect forklifts daily before use.
- Fill out forklift maintenance checklists and turn them in.
- Help load and unload trucks for deliveries, vendors, and transfers.
- Put returned products back on shelves.
- Cut plywood and lumber to the sizes customers request.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager to support the success of the team and business.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Must follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work every other Saturday (half-day) or as needed, based on business needs.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and may be subject to random testing.
- Must be able to assist with loading/unloading materials as needed.
- Professional attitude and good customer service skills when interacting with clients and team members.
- Able to read a tape measure accurately.
- Skilled in using power tools, including a table saw.
- Able to operate a forklift safely (forklift certification a plus).
