Doucette's Special Events Rental is a family owned event rental business located in the Woodland area of Duluth close to college campuses. Doucette's strives to exceed the expectations of each customer by providing exceptional customer service and quality rental items to make each and every event memorable. Our inventory includes items such as tents, tables, chairs, dancefloors, staging, inflatable games, etc.
Job Description;
This is a seasonal labor job, ideal for college students coming back to school in the fall, or high school grads taking a gap year. Most work takes place outdoors and involves physical activity/manual labor. Ideal for athletes or students that want to get/stay in shape. Hours can be flexible around school schedules or other commitments. Field crew members travel from job site to job site to set up and take down rental equipment for events of all sizes. Most jobs are within a 70 mile radius of Duluth. Most work hours take place June through October. Currently seeking staff to help finish out the rental season (August through October). Part time or full time.
**Specifically seeking candidates able to quickly move up to Field Lead/Driver status.
Essential Qualifications;
- Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Work in an outdoor environment
- Able to work in a team environment and be willing to follow directions of Field Supervisor and other more experienced team members
- Be professional in appearance and behavior
- Be willing to work at a relatively fast pace and take initiative
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Experience driving truck trailer is a plus but not required
Job Duties;
- Communicate in a friendly, professional, and effective manner with customers and co-workers
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Transport materials between vehicle and installation site
- construct, install, and remove multiple styles of tents and inflatable games
- Pound stakes into the ground (both manually and with a stake pounder)
- Work in a focused, team environment
- Work within standard operating and safety procedures at all times
- Work in all weather conditions
- Have fun at work and enjoy the outdoors
Additional information;
- We really strive to provide a flexible and accommodating workplace
- Full time positions will be approximately 35 hours per week
- Part time positions will be approximately 15 hours per week
- Part time hours are VERY flexible during the school year
- All positions may include weekend work
- Overtime is available for those who seek it
Pay; $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
