Role Description The Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Boston - Cambridge in Boston, MA. This role oversees daily hotel operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, service quality, and adherence to brand standards across departments such as front office, food and beverage, and engineering. The Director of Operations monitors performance metrics, manages budgets and cost controls, and implements operational improvements to optimize efficiency and profitability. This position collaborates closely with department leaders to coach and develop team members, maintain a positive work environment, and support talent retention. The Director of Operations also addresses escalated guest concerns, supports safety and compliance initiatives, and partners with the General Manager on strategic planning and long-term operational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management and hotel or hospitality leadership skills, with experience overseeing multi-department daily activities.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and budgeting capabilities, including forecasting, cost control, and performance reporting.
- Proven team management and people leadership abilities, including coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Exceptional customer service and guest relations skills, with a track record of resolving issues and enhancing the guest experience.
- Previous experience in hotel operations or hospitality management, ideally in an upscale or branded environment.
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards relevant to hotel operations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
