Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Handle textiles and laundry materials carefully, ensuring proper sorting, washing, drying, and folding according to established procedures.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and supplies using appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport linens, garments, and laundry loads efficiently within the facility.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while following all safety standards in production environments to prevent injuries.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies such as laundry detergents, garment care products, and textiles.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services or special handling instructions.
- Follow all safety protocols during manual handling activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Monitor textile cleaning processes closely to ensure quality control in washing, dry cleaning, and finishing procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with textile care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy loads or push carts regularly.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and process measurements are helpful.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures in production environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and communication.
