Job Description
Education & Experience Requirements
-
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
-
2–5 years of experience in a commercial, hotel, or institutional maintenance environment; hotel experience strongly preferred.
-
Working knowledge and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical systems.
-
Light carpentry skills and familiarity with painting and wallpaper repair.
-
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
-
Valid driver’s license preferred.
-
Background in preventive maintenance programs strongly preferred.
-
Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and team members.

Must not pose a direct threat to the safety/health of self or others.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to work extended or irregular hours as needed.
-
Heavy work: ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, moving equipment/materials).

Ability to stand, bend, climb, and walk for the entire shift.

Duties & Essential Functions
Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Oversee daily maintenance operations for 300 guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, kitchen, laundry, and meeting spaces.
-
Supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring all work is completed according to brand and safety standards.
-
Assign, review, and close work orders; ensure timely response to guestroom and facility maintenance calls.
-
Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering leadership, and other departments to prioritize guest-impacting issues.
-
Ensure proper training, safety practices, and compliance with Hilton brand standards.
-
Maintain communication logs and ensure outgoing maintenance calls are documented and followed up.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities
-
Adhere to all work-order policies, procedures, and preventive maintenance routines.
-
Communicate parts, materials, and supply needs promptly; maintain stocked supply carts and storerooms.

Inspect, maintain, and repair:
-
Guestroom systems (HVAC units, fixtures, furniture, electrical/plumbing components).
-
Laundry and kitchen equipment (washers, dryers, dish machines, refrigeration units).
-
Public space and convention areas (lighting, cosmetic repairs, wall coverings, carpeting).
-

Maintain life-safety systems; respond immediately to alarms or alerts.
-
Ensure all unsafe or hazardous conditions are reported and corrected immediately.

Clean and treat all food & beverage area floor drains with enzymes weekly.
-
Maintain chemical levels in automatic/mechanical systems (including pools and hot tubs if applicable).
-
Maintain and repair electrical carts and tools.
-
Repair and maintain irrigation or sprinkler systems.
-
Perform cosmetic repairs (paint, wallpaper, trim, furniture touch-ups).
-
Replace and install water heaters and other major equipment as needed.
-
Keep all maintenance work areas clean, safe, and organized.
Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties

Attend all mandatory department and safety meetings.

Fill key requests, create nametags, and make signage as needed.

Cross-train in additional maintenance areas as assigned.

Perform other duties as requested by Engineering Management.
