What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server/Bartender position at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel?
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recognize all guests in a pleasant and professional manner
- Be neat and clean at all times wearing the uniform and name badge required
- No consumption of alcoholic beverages at any time on hotel property
- No smoking, gum chewing or leaning against the bar while at your station
- Be aware of your responsibility of not serving a guest to cause intoxication. Notify your supervisor or security if a guest is intoxicated
- Clean and stock the bar
- No serving of alcoholic beverages to persons under 21
- Notify person in authority if a guest becomes unruly. Bartender shall not attempt to discipline
- Charge correct amounts for drinks and balance drawer
- Prepare drinks with proper portions and ingredients. Maintain control in waste and proper portioning
- Use of correct glass and correct garnish when applicable to the drink ordered
- Use of standard measuring devices provided. Pouring directly from the bottle to the glass is not permitted. Bartenders are cautioned against both over and under pouring
- Bartenders shall not allow unauthorized persons behind the bar
- Responsible for closing of the bar at the hour designated by management
- Responsible for assuring the cleanliness of the entire bar at closing time
- Responsible for helping maintain labor cost control
- Closing bartender must fill beer requisition every shift
- Must complete closing shift reports
- Everyone will cooperate as a friendly team effort and work harmoniously to ensure proper guest satisfaction and operation standards
- It is required that bartenders familiarize themselves with state liquor laws
- Comply with other duties assigned by management
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $7.25 - $10.00 per hour
