Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise banquet staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
- Coordinate with clients and event planners to understand their needs and ensure seamless execution of all banquet functions.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service standards, maintaining consistency with quality and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation procedures across all banquet operations.
- Conduct shift management duties, including overseeing kitchen and service staff during events to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor budget adherence, analyze profit and loss reports, and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with culinary teams on menu planning, catering options, and special dietary requirements.
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
- Proven management skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as quick service or fine dining restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety management, and food production processes.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing candidates, and developing talent.
- Background in hospitality management with a focus on kitchen management, catering services, and event coordination.
- Skilled in managing budgets, analyzing profit & loss statements, and implementing cost-control measures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse client needs professionally.
- Familiarity with hotel or banquet facility operations is preferred; experience in managing hospitality teams is highly valued.
Qualification Standards
Education
Highschool or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience
One to two years of food and beverage service background and prior hospitality experience required.
