Duties

• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of public spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface wiping.
• Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Conduct detailed floor care routines such as stripping, waxing, polishing, and deep cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment efficiently to ensure all areas meet sanitation standards.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving cleaning supplies or equipment safely in accordance with manual handling protocols.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff requests for cleaning assistance or maintenance issues in public spaces.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors at all times.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial settings is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with hotel housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping roles is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers is desirable.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards within hospitality environments enhances your ability to maintain high cleanliness levels.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
