Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant based in Wasilla, AK, with flexibility for some work-from-home opportunities. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans, assisting patients with speech and communication skills, and addressing communication disorders. Responsibilities also include working with patients on feeding, swallowing, articulation and language exercises and ensuring appropriate documentation of progress.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Speech and Speech Therapy techniques
- Experience with Communication and understanding of Communication Disorders
- Knowledge of myofunctional techniques and exercises is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Relevant licensure or certification for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in Alaska
- Prior experience working in a therapeutic or clinical environment is a plus
