Class A CDL Driver

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating commercial tractor-trailers across various routes, ensuring timely and secure delivery of freight. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety and service. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries across multiple locations.
• Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques or forklift assistance, ensuring proper securing of cargo in compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Transport automobile parts or other freight securely while adhering to all DOT and FMCSA regulations governing commercial truck driving.
• Deliver freight accurately to designated destinations, maintaining communication with dispatch for route adjustments or delivery confirmations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Comply with all safety protocols related to hazardous goods, dangerous goods handling, and manual handling procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed configurations, tanker operations, and hazardous materials regulations is preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service (HOS), load securement standards, and DOT compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight transportation across diverse industries.
• Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely while adhering to safety standards for truck loading and unloading processes.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
