What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheeter Operator- 2nd/3rd Shift position at DOUBLE H PACKAGING INC?
Position Purpose: Operate and understand a Dual Fly-Knife Rotary Sheeter with slitting, including roll handling and preparation, paper slitting and sheeting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run and maintain quality standards for flatness, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy while operating sheeter at standard efficiency
- Follow and adhere to schedule
- Scan all pallets when finished
- Successfully maintain paperwork and documents associated with orders
- Perform change overs in a timely manner
- Perform routine adjustments to equipment when needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment including the storage of materials and tooling
- All other assigned duties
Skills/Abilities:
- To work independently and in a group setting
- To follow step by step setup procedures and work with close tolerances
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16” and a caliper to .001 of an inch.
- To move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- To work in a fast-paced environment
- To understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
Quality Standards: Must be able to understand quality standards and perform quality checks.
