Quality and Environmental Control Technician
Double G Coatings Company L.P. is the preeminent supplier of coated sheet steel products to the light metal building industry. We are looking for a dedicated participative candidate to fill a full-time Quality and Environmental Control Technician position. The candidate will promote cooperation, teamwork, integrity, and respect while providing maximum product quality environmental compliance in order to fulfill the needs of our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize various types of laboratory equipment and perform the necessary calibrations
- Analyze, report and implement process changes
- Operate waste water plant equipment as needed
- Work in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Support coating line operations with any quality issues
- be able to perform root cause analysis as well as work with electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians to resolve operating issues
- Report to the Quality and Environmental Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Organized / detail oriented person with a great attitude and excellent interpersonal skills who is able to work in a team oriented self-supervised work environment
- A 2 year Associate degree in a technical field with 3 years of quality or environmental experience in manufacturing or 5 years experience is preferred
- Proficient with office computer software
- Stong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude with the ability to multitask and learn new material quickly
Experience in the steel industry is a plus but not necessary

Pay: $58,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
