What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Double E Group?
Position DescriptionInspect a variety of custom machined parts, both in process and final inspection, to ensure conformance with print specifications and quality standards.Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process.Reports conditions requiring immediate repair.Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs.ResponsibilitiesWork with manufacturing and outside vendors inspecting parts to required specifications and move parts to the next manufacturing process.Perform final inspections, create and maintain inspection reports for all product lines as well as custom reports required by certain customers.Maintain a non-conformance database to analyze non-conformance trends.Maintain calibration of all Metrology related tools/devices and associated records in the facility.Send damaged metrology tools for evaluation, work with various manufacturers to determine if repair is cost effective, replace tools if not.Inform Production Manager and Engineering Manager when a defective product is found.Inspect parts from outside vendors.Collaborate with various departments to perform Root Cause Analysis of quality issues and find solutions.Recommend new inspection equipment when necessary.RequirementsInspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, thread/pitch/radius gages, profilometer, Micro-Hite, and dial indicators).ForkliftBridge CraneComputerMust be proficient in the use of all standard measuring equipment.Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancesGood computer skillsOffice 365 ExcelEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent required.3 years experience in inspection of machine parts required.
