What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician - Edison NJ position at Double Care ABA?
Position Overview: Are you looking for a part-time
Behavior Technician role working with kids that offers a friendly
environment and ongoing support? As a Behavior Technician at Double
Care ABA, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting
client care plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst
(BCBA). You will work directly with clients, providing one-on-one
ABA therapy sessions tailored to their specific needs. Our approach
recognizes the individuality of each client, meaning your role will
adapt to the unique requirements of the therapy plan in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA therapy interventions as outlined in the
client’s care plan.
- Work under the
supervision and guidance of a BCBA to ensure that therapy
goals are met.
- Collect and record data during
each session in Central Reach, our data management system, to
track client progress.
- Monitor client behaviors
and communicate any significant changes or concerns to the
supervising BCBA.
- Collaborate with the BCBA to
adjust treatment plans as needed based on data and client
progress.
- Provide support and guidance to clients
in developing communication, social interaction, and
problem-solving skills.
- Ensure a safe and
supportive environment for clients during therapy
sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to
ethical guidelines in all client interactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or
other developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement
individualized therapy plans.
- Comfortable using
technology for data entry and session documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative
team.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
certification or willingness to obtain certification a plus.
