Overview
We’re a locally owned HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company serving the Greater Lansing area, and we’re looking for a Customer Advocate to join our team!
Our Customer Advocates are the first point of contact for customers who call Doty, helping them schedule service, answering questions, and making sure they get to the right place.
You’ll also help with customer memberships and invoicing and make outbound calls to follow up on service opportunities.
Home service has busy seasons and steady ones, so what needs your attention can look a little different from day to day. If you like talking to people, staying busy, and working with a team, you’ll probably feel comfortable here.
What does the day look like?
- Answering incoming calls, texts, and online requests
- Scheduling trade appointments
- Making outbound calls to follow up on service opportunities
- Helping customers with questions
- Working with customer memberships and invoicing
- Keeping customer and appointment information up to date
- Working with our Dispatch and field teams
Who are we looking for?
Someone who’s friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable talking to people.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable handling both incoming and outbound calls
- Able to stay organized and manage changing priorities
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new software
- Good attention to detail
- Dependable and able to follow through
- Willing to learn, ask questions, and accept feedback
- Able to work well as part of a team
You don’t need to walk in knowing HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. We can teach you that. Customer service or dispatch experience is a plus, but we’re just as interested in finding someone who wants to learn, communicates well, and follows through.
The Details
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Hourly Wage- starting $18
Shift options: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
