Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing workstations regularly
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment with proper technique to ensure safety
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with health and safety standards
- Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation processes are a plus
