SAP Functional Consultant - PM (Plant Maintenance) (Senior, Consultant, Junior)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to maintenance and asset management.
- Configure and implement SAP PM solutions to support key processes, including:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Work order management.
- Notifications and maintenance planning.
- Equipment and functional location management.
- Design and optimize maintenance processes to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.
- Integrate SAP PM with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI/CO, EAM, PS).
- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, reports, interfaces, and custom developments.
- Lead functional design workshops and provide subject matter expertise to business stakeholders.
- Develop functional specifications and support development and testing activities.
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-user training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP PM-related issues and production defects.
- Assist with data migration, cutover planning, and go-live support.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Experience for Junior Role
- 2 years of SAP functional consulting experience, including at least 3-5 years in SAP PM.
Experience for Consultant Role
- 3-7 years of SAP functional consulting experience, including at least 3-5 years in SAP PM.
- Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP PM implementation.
Experience for Senior Role
- 7 years of SAP functional consulting experience, including at least 3-5 years in SAP PM.
- Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP PM implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of maintenance and asset management processes.
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP PM (equipment, functional locations, task lists, maintenance plans, work orders).
- Experience integrating SAP PM with MM (materials management), FI/CO (finance), and/or PS (project systems).
- Familiarity with mobile maintenance solutions and Fiori applications.
- Experience with preventive maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of data migration and master data management in SAP PM.
- Experience supporting testing, training, and end-user support.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP EAM and S/4HANA Asset Management.
- Knowledge of GIS integration or IoT-enabled maintenance solutions.
- Experience in utilities, transportation, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Required Certifications
- SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (or SAP PM) preferred.
