Field Service Lead – Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

Help Maintain the Nation's Largest Battery Energy Storage Projects.
Dots Energy is seeking an experienced Field Service Lead to support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the United States.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading field technicians, coordinating field activities, maintaining the highest safety standards, and ensuring successful execution at some of the nation's largest renewable energy projects.
As one of our first Field Service Leads, you'll help build our growing field service organization while working with advanced energy infrastructure that is transforming the electric grid.
What You'll Do
- Lead field technicians performing maintenance and service on utility-scale battery energy storage systems
- Plan and coordinate field activities, travel, and project schedules
- Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting tasks
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer standards
- Train, mentor, and support the development of field technicians
- Review field documentation, service reports, and project deliverables
- Coordinate with customers, project managers, and OEM partners
- Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of field service, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience
- Previous experience leading field crews or mentoring technicians
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10 Certification (required before site deployment)
- NFPA 70E Certification (required before site deployment)
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Utility-scale solar
- Power generation or substations
- Industrial automation and controls
- HVAC or industrial electrical systems
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance
- Military technical leadership
- Renewable energy field service

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
