Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in millwright work, assembling, and welding various materials, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques, including stick welding.
- Operate plasma cutter and various other equipment to shape materials as required for projects.
- Assemble materials for welding at the shop and on the road.
- Utilize forklifts to move heavy materials safely throughout the work area.
- Read and interpret drawings and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication of parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Millwright/Fabricator.
- Proficiency in stick and mig welding.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
