Travel Leisure is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Video Producer & Editor at the early stages of their career to support the creation of dynamic social video content. The ideal candidate is a "platform-native" storyteller who can pull together assets from various sources—including raw lifestyle and travel footage—and turn them into high-performing, engaging videos for social channels. This role is for a hands-on maker who is comfortable stepping onto set to support production and ensure every video is optimized for maximum performance.

Assignment Details

• Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week.
• Start Date: June 1, 2026.
• End Date (with potential for extension): Sept 30, 2026.
• Hourly Rate: $47
• Location: People Inc. NYC Office, 225 Liberty Street.
• Schedule: This position is 5 days a week in-office.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Social Video Creation: iPhone Shoot & Edit short-form social videos from raw footage, shaping story arcs, pacing, and visual rhythm for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• On-Set Production Support: Step onto set as needed to support production, manage talent, and ensure the creative vision is executed for high-performing social delivery.
• Asset Integration: Source and pull together assets from various internal and external sources to create cohesive, engaging social content.
• Creative Enhancement: Incorporate on-screen text, captions, graphics, and sound elements to enhance engagement and clarity.
• Optimization: Deliver polished cuts optimized for multiple social platforms, aspect ratios, and audience retention.
• Brand Integrity: Ensure all content follows brand guidelines, editorial standards, and Travel Leisure’s specific voice.
• Collaboration: Work on-site in our New York production studios, collaborating closely with producers and editors in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Experience: 4 years of experience in video editing and production, ideally with a focus on travel, lifestyle, or social-first content.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required. Ability to shoot on an iPhone is a plus.
• Production Instincts: Ability to navigate real-time production issues and provide hands-on support during shoots.
• Social Expertise: Deep understanding of social video formats, pacing, visual trends, and platform-specific best practices.
• Storytelling: Sharp editorial instincts with an understanding of story structure, hooks, and visual clarity for digital audiences.
• Travel Knowledge: An interest in travel and creator-led content; deep topic knowledge of travel and how it is consumed on social platforms is a significant bonus.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage assets, project files, and deadlines effectively.
