This position manages the administrative programs and support functions for the District. District 58 maintains 1427 miles of Federal and State roadways in six parishes with an inventory of equipment in excess of 800 pieces. The incumbent is responsible for high-level work in the following areas: purchasing, payroll, fiscal management, inventory control, budget, property control, records management, data processing, facility management, special projects and contracts.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
- Sign and conduct budget matters pertaining to District 58. Daily reconciliation of expenditures against the budget, ensuring the District operates within its allocated funds.
- Identifies and resolves issues/discrepancies with Financial Services.
- Serves as District's financial subject-matter-expert concerning cost coding for all payable and procurement documents.
- Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of internal recording and control procedures involving the collection, evaluation, preparation, reconciliation, processing, and submission of approximately 3600 District documents to DOTD Headquarters.
- Oversees District Buyers in the procurement process, ensuring compliance with DOTD Procurement regulations.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as probational, job appointment, detail to special duty, voluntary demotion, or promotion.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG and will be filled as an Admin Program Manager 3.
Work Schedule: Full-time weekdays.
Compensation: Depends on qualifications; no less than $25.31/hour.
