The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary procurement assistant for District acquisitions, creating requisitions and purchase orders in support of administrative units in the District. The incumbent will create, revise, and maintain purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with DOTD Procurement Policies and Division of Administration requirements. They will also serve as an initial point-of-contact to District personnel for the purchase of goods and services.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Serve as procurement agent for the District, creating requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services.
- Ensure accurate processing of all requisitions and purchase orders.
- Utilize SAP, ERP, and SRM to ensure accurate goods receipts and issues.
- Audit and maintain official records/spreadsheets for commodities and services received.
- Serve as initial point of contact to District personnel for the purchase of goods and services.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position is a promotional opportunity for current permanent classified DOTD employees only and may be filled as a promotion, detail to special duty, or probation in lieu of promotion.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG and will be filled as an Admin Program Specialist A.
Work Schedule: Full-time weekdays.
Compensation: Depends on qualifications; no less than $18.04/hour.
