Position Summary:
DOTCOM is seeking an experienced Coax Splicer to perform splicing, testing, and activation of coaxial cable systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with coax construction, signal testing, and system troubleshooting within the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform splicing, testing, and activation of coaxial cable systems
- Diagnose and repair signal issues using appropriate test equipment such as signal level meters or spectrum analyzers
- Install and maintain connectors, amplifiers, taps, and power supplies
- Read and interpret maps, schematics, and construction prints
- Complete daily production and test documentation accurately
- Ensure compliance with DOTCOM and industry safety standards
- Work independently or as part of a team in outdoor and field environments
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience in coax splicing or telecommunications field work required
- Solid understanding of RF systems, signal flow, and coax network design
- Proficient in using test and measurement equipment for coax systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction prints and system documentation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
