About the Role
As a Lead Teacher, you will:
- Create nurturing, emotionally safe classroom environments
- Facilitate inquiry-based and emergent curriculum inspired by children’s interests
- Observe, document, and make children’s learning visible
- Build strong relationships with children and families
- Support social-emotional development through co-regulation and connection
- Collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and pedagogical leadership
- Participate in planning, reflection, and ongoing growth
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 12 ECE Units required by California licensing
- Preschool teaching experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in person in San Diego
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in ECE, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or related field
- Experience with Reggio Emilia, inquiry-based, emergent curriculum, or project-based learning
- Experience documenting children’s learning
- Classroom leadership experience
