We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to employees and users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help maintain reliable IT operations.
The successful candidate will respond to technical support requests, diagnose problems, assist with system configuration, and work with internal IT teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to employees and end users through phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Create, update, and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Respond to IT support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within established timelines.
- Assist users with operating systems, productivity applications, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain IT equipment and basic network connectivity.
- Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Assist with software updates, system upgrades, and device deployments.
- Follow IT security policies and help maintain secure systems and user access.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT perspective.
- Maintain IT inventory and equipment records.
- Perform other IT support duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, or a related role.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- CompTIA A , Network , or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with remote support tools.
- Understanding of basic IT security practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies.
