Lead Cashier - Full Time

These very important positions are our last chance to interact with our customers, so it’s an opportunity to make them feel welcomed and satisfied that they chose to shop at Dorothy Lane Market.

The Lead Cashier position requires someone with cashier experience, excellent customer service skills, and leadership qualities to assist in running the day-to-day operations of our Front End. Hours for the position are full time, and require some evening shifts as well as weekend availability.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service both in person, and over the phone.
• Run register with accuracy.
• Operate our Guest Services booth.
• Properly handle any customer issues.
• Monitor customer flow and manage the number of lanes needed for efficiency.
• Assist with cashier inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Proactively assist customers with locating products or answering questions.
• Be a positive role model for our cashiers and carry-outs.
• Be responsible for store closing procedures a couple of nights per week.
  
  
  

These positions do require standing for long periods of time, braving the elements while helping customers to their car with purchases, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Due to the nature of our busy times, some weekend availability is a must in this position.

• A willingness to learn about and taste great food.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
