Production Scheduler

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Production Scheduler based in Indianapolis, IN. The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and executing short-term production schedules that align with customer orders, available supply, and manufacturing capabilities. The Production Scheduler will work closely with Production, Procurement, Customer Service, and the Supply Planning team to ensure clear communication and high schedule attainment. This role is critical to driving efficiency, reducing MRP exceptions, and maintaining a smooth product flow through the plant.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $60,000 - $85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do

• Create and manage detailed daily and weekly production schedules in alignment with customer demand and supply plans
• Lead weekly scheduling review meetings with cross-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Customer Service)
• Prioritize and sequence production orders for maximum efficiency and minimal changeovers
• Monitor and resolve MRP exception messages, escalating unresolved issues to stakeholders
Maintain accurate scheduling-related master data and communicate order status updates across departments

What we require

• 3 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills

What we prefer

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, or a related field
• Familiarity with push/pull/flow replenishment models
• APICS CPIM certification or similar credential
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
